Argumentative Point II
This week I'd like you to argue against my point of making you write an essay separately part by part that is an introductory part, a body part, and a conclusion part. I find this way of practice is good for you to learn step by step how to write a longer essay comparing to the previous essays you wrote last semester.

Oh! I’m proud to be the first person in this week journal after I forgot to write the previous journal. I don’t want to argue with you but I strongly agree with you about writing separately part by part, I love it! The good essay has to use more time to do it and get it best. If you order to do all essay and send to you in this weekend, I believe that my essay will make you fall with it and I will get bad score too. I have a lot of works and sometime, I cannot write essay because I have no idea to write it. My essay happens from the good ideas and more time to write it. When I get more time, I can write it best and long essay too. I don’t know that other are agree with me but I think it is the best way to help me to get more quality and long essay too. I hope to get the good score with this essay so I try to do it with my all brain and all time of me.

ReplyDeleteI think the way to separate writing essay part by part is not efficiency. However, there is something not work that is the idea. I think we should not divide the essay part by part. The reason why I think like this because the idea of the content is not relate in each part. Moreover, we use less time to write because we just think some part of essay such as introduction. Therefore, we should use more time to do when we write the long essay. Also, the content should be continued and smooth. If we follow this thing, the essay will become perfect writing. As a result, we should write all parts of essay in the complete one.

ReplyDeleteFor writing an essay separately part by part, I think it is quite disconnected of ideas. This way of writing made me concentrated only the part that I was writing at that time and did not linked my ideas to another points like separate part separate though. On the other hand, a long essay that I wrote last semester had all parts in one paragraph: an introduction, a body, and a conclusion that I linked it smoothly because in a one paragraph, the ideas must be connected since the beginning until the end. I could check it sentence by sentence and did not obstructed by separating ideas like the latest essay.

I totally disagree with writing the essay separate part by part is the good idea. There are several reasons to support my point. First, there is not coherence in the whole essay because I focus on part by part not the whole one. Second, it is waste the time because if the teacher assigns me to write the essay separate part by part, it will waste time to do the other assignments. Finally, the teacher will tried to check a lot essay from two sections students. The essay that I wrote last semester is just one paragraph. It is easy to checking because the last semester essay is shorter than this semester which has an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. Sometime the long essay makes me confuse, so it doesn’t have the coherence. Separate the essay part by part is not the good idea absolutely.

In my opinion, I think writing an essay separately part by part is a good idea because students may have already prepared for writing each part of the essay beforehand. On the other side, there will be less continuity between each part of an essay because the ideas are not well-connected. Personally, I always diverge from the main points while I’m writing an essay separately part by part. However, this problem can be solved when I proof read it and rewrite the essay, but this may requires a lot of time to make it correct. By the way, the essay I wrote last semester which is a one paragraph essay that has all parts in it. It is different from this semester because this semester’s essay is a five-paragraph essay which is more difficult than the last one. Moreover, this semester is a long essay because students have to do the research, and find the evidence sources for writing a good essay. Students have to summarize and paraphrase the information then put in the essay not like the last semester. Importantly, this semester’s essay has a lot more details that students have to concentrate upon writing than the last one.

We have to write academic essays in this semester by following teacher's method that separately continue, part by part. However, I don't agree with this way because I have to control my ideas and make a unity in my essays, but separately writing makes me miss the point and lack of unity between each paragraphs. In addition to write an essay separately part by part, it is the way of good practice step by step. In contrast, I think that it distributes the ideas and too complex for many students. They will use a lot of time to concentrate on many points of reliable information. They also worry about the coherence of each part to the whole essay. For the paragraph essay from the last semester, it was very easy because there was only one main idea. As a result, it is smooth and clear because of shorter essay. To a certain extent teacher are right that student write an essay separately part by part is a good way to practice step by step for a longer essay, but it can make the student lose the main point of essay. An essay separately part by part had more paragraphs that student try so hard to generate one complete main idea of the topic because several part could make several idea. For me, when I wrote an essay separately part by part, I usually forgot the main point of topic. I also concentrate to write the main idea in each paragraph that could make my essay require of connecting paragraph. For this reason, I want to support the previous essays that I wrote last semester because it could help me to generate one completely main idea in a long essay. It helped me to understand why essay should be one complete main idea because the whole essay talked about the one point of topic. I could continuous to write an essay by without stopped my idea. Although, the essay separately part by part help to practice a long essay, but I believe that essay should not separately part by part.

I think your point is good way to practice writing essays, but I think the way you use is not workable because we shouldn’t do everything in the haft way. We may get bad result if we write essay separately. It means that we separate our ideas too. Therefore, the contents in our essays won’t flow or connect together. In my point, when we write something like essays, we should write the whole parts together in the same time. The ideas will smoothly connect to the whole parts as unity so that our ideas won’t jump over to irrelevant thoughts. In deed, I think the way to write the whole parts together is perfect than write some part and merge the whole parts of essays at last.

Learning step by step to practice essay writing is good for writing essay, but it is not the best way to write long essay. It is less of continuing an idea in each paragraph. Because each paragraph has to connect together, have only one idea. If we separate part by part, we will be complicated our idea in next part. ReplyDeleteWell, I disagree with you the way to separate into many parts; for example, introduction, body, and conclusion, are the good ways. In contrast, we still don’t know how to write it in correct in the right parts. So, we should write it in the same paragraph and practice or focus in the ideas then connect it into sentence by sentence. Until, we know and get that what is introduction, or what are we going to write in this paragraph, then we will start to write it as separate into part by part. In my opinion, writing an essay separately part by part is easier than writing whole parts include introduction, body, and conclusion because it is the good way to concentrate each part. Some may say that writing in separately part is hardly to write and connect the idea but for me I think it is good for me to focus just one part. That is to say, while writing the whole part of the essay, I do not have enough time to focus and control only in one paragraph. In my opinion, writing the all part is easily for connect the idea for the whole essay but it is hardly to concentrate in one paragraph because when I have any idea pop up in my head, I will write it down. However, I think it works in some cases if we can connect the idea well with supporting details. Moreover, write an essay separately part by part caused me worried about what teacher will correct my previous work that I just turn in. Practice of essay writing step by step is good but it hides the weak point of work. The weak point is connection of idea. I think that we separated the essay part by part which are introduction, body, and conclusion, these should be changed. Introduction part and body part should be worked each other in same period time. For this reason, thesis statement in introduction part affects to body part. Three paragraphs of body part must be writing follow the thesis statement. I am going to tell you continuity of writing will be better. ReplyDeleteAlthough writing essay by separating part by part allows enough time to student prove and concentrate in each part, I think this process is not effective for student. This process causes a ruin of work because when most of student write essay part by part they never come back to read previous part of work. Effect of this act is lack of unity in essay. For example, in some work, thesis statement expresses one thing, but body expresses another thing. This work is like broken bridge that is hard to solve in final draft. Instructor’s process may effective for student who always read all part of essay, but it is not effective for lazy students who never read their work after summit first draft of each part. Most of students are the final group that I am also this group, so this method is not suitable for student in this class exactly.

It’s true that writing an essay by separate it in to three parts can practice students to learn about essay writing. I think you have to teach the entire essay to the students and let them write it all essay in one or two weeks because sometime they think about an introduction but they also have an idea about body. However, writing an essay separately is not connecting and smooth of idea because the writer will focus on one paragraph of the essay. Even though the writer has the outline acts as a framework for the work ahead. It may not help the writer to control the idea due to the fact that each paragraph consists of many sentences. Therefore, the writer should be writing a complete one essay continually that is several paragraphs long, including an introductory part, body part, and conclusion part. I have to worry the time because when I will finish my work so, I have to make haste and submit my work on the time. When I do my work in hurry so, my work is not good and makes me get low score. When I write an essay separately part by part, I can check the error carefully; the mistake may less than write long essay without separately part by part. In addition, if I write an essay separately part by part, I will have enough time to check the error part by part. I think, I will write a good essay by separately part by part. I disagree with your point. In my opinion, part by part essay writing will slow the process, and decrease the accuracy of the work. I think the best way of essay writing should not be separated to three parts that are an introductory part, a body part, and a conclusion part as you said. Because each student has to write only one part by their self for a long time, and have only one time to peer with the partner. The students will lack of the accuracy of their essay before they submit to the teacher. Thus, the score will be low. On the other hand, if they write it every part at one time, they will peer with their partner, and edit the essay two to three times before they send to the teacher, so not only the score, but also the quality of the accuracy will be higher.

The way to separating essay writing step by step is the good way for time management of student. On the other hand, essay writing step by step has an effect on the coherent paragraph, especially, bodies. Bodies are important to write in all together within one time, but three bodies are written different time it won’t be one unit of the thought. Essay writing has not to separate in step by step, because the coherent paragraph won’t be neat and smooth for thought. Therefore, if there is an essay writing, so people should write it within one time. In reverse way, there are points which I do agree that writing an essay in a whole part is better than writing an essay separately part by part. Due to smoothness and coherence, a whole part essay can continually connect an author’s idea together and express the feeling from an author to the audiences perfectly. If I write separately part by part long essay which includes an introductory part, body part as well as conclusion part, but its coherence and idea are not related each other. Is it a good essay anymore? Moreover, I think a whole part essay is another way that I can save my time because I have no need to pay attention on form or pattern of essay anymore. ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think complete in one step for a whole essay is the best way to connect all writing ideas into the essay. Separate writing into many parts, such as introductory, body, and conclusion, make me get wrong point to connect them together. When I write in each part, I have to concentrate only the main point of each part. If I don't concentrate on each of main point, I will get lose in idea. In my opinion, I think that separately part by part of essay writing is good for practice, but it’s hard for student when using coherence. A lot of student can’t use correct coherence or transitional sentence. It has 3 mains idea to connect. If it’s disconnected, it will not link a story. Writing a paragraph is easier than 3 parts because it has only one main point, no need to have a lot of thesis. This semester is very hard for doing an essay because student can’t ask teacher a lot. We just work a first draft and then final, how can we know that we use correct word and sentence or not. So teacher must give time for student to ask after class. I agree with you in some points that it is the practical way to write the longer essay comparing to the previous one, but I think it will lose the continuity and smooth. When students write paragraphs separately, they will think of only main idea for each paragraph: introduction, body, and conclusion. Therefore, when the three pieces are combined in one piece essay, they still separate. The contents will not link together and will link just within each paragraph. For this reason, I prefer writing essay in three parts together because when I start writing a paragraph like the first body, I can read the previous paragraph which is the introduction to link the information and graph some ideas to make my essay smoother.

I totally disagree with previous process of writing, part by part, because it does not show the smoothness and parallelism. It would be the misunderstanding for you when I submit part by part essay. You would feel against the paper, many questions of misunderstanding would support your logical thinking to reduce my poor score. However, writing separately part by part, students may find difficulty to compose their ideas into a piece of writing. Also, I think writing an essay separately part by part causes flooding of ideas since many students cannot control their ideas well. As we know writing is not the expressions of grammar or the series of words; instead, writing lets ideas suggest more ideas. Therefore, the connection of ideas must be made. When students compose their essay, they must be sure that the ideas are connected and the ideas must be flowed within the themes of unity and coherence. Thus, I think writing a whole essay is a good practice for many students because it helps students focusing on the unity of writing since students are easier finding the connections of ideas.

However, she forgot one fact that writing essay separately part by part makes many students confuse with the main idea that they are going to write. Writing separately part by part makes a short thinking in students and cannot control your self in writing because when they write introduction, body or conclusion, they will just focus on one part and forget in other parts. In addition, they will lose the unity in the paragraph because they can not connect the idea from the introduction to the body and from the boy to the conclusion. Moreover, the characteristic of the writer also important in writing to makes decision in writing either separate part by part or write in the while parts. Some people have character in writing separate part by part. However, many people have character in writing a whole part in the same time. Likewise, I am the one who have character in write the whole part because when I write I will think and write then I will re-read again and again in the previous part like intro, body, conclusion. To ensure my work, I always turn eyes back and check it carefully that the text that I wrote was meaningful, cover all idea, and was the same story or not. These methods will help in people especially who have limit in time because they will combine the all part in the one story. That's why I disagree with instructor point of view.

An essay separately part by part is difficult to practice more than paragraph because an essay has introduction which the beginning of essay, body which the story that we learn and want to explain, and conclusion which summary of all essay and some suggestion to the reader. Firstly, I disagree because when separate writing part by part I will focus on each part; it will make us not attend the whole idea of essay. Write the essay separately part by part is the good way to help students write the own essay easily. Of course, I agree. To make an essay separately part by part is a good plan for me because it is easy for me to control ideas of an essay. In the last time, I knew my essay problems; for example, the scope of my ideas in thesis statement before I began to write body parts. Therefore, I could write my body paragraphs in the proper ways. Moreover, when the teacher turned the old work back to me, I could know what my problems are by focus on the grade of each item like coherence, grammar, narrow idea, and citation. Then, I tried to improve those problems in the final draft. I totally like to do it part by part.

ReplyDeleteI disagree to write an essay by separating parts because an idea in each part will be out of an idea. In addition, I do not have to think about what I have to tell readers firstly or secondly. That means I can write what I think. In addition, I do not like to be limited what I think because it seems to force me to write. Because I like the writing way of literature, I can tell readers what I want to express in my essay. I think this kind of writing makes me feel happy more than writing by separating parts. :D

ReplyDeleteEssay writing separately part by part is good way to practice writing for student. However, many students confuse with this way because they focus on how to write introduction, body, and conclusion more than focus on important information that they should write in the essay. Moreover, they can not connect their idea in the essay, and they always write illogical essay. In contrast, the way to writing a paragraph of essay better than essay writing separately part by part because students can link their idea ,and they can making coherence in essay . Therefore, I prefer to write paragraph essay more than essay writing separately part by part.

ReplyDeleteI do agree with you to write an essay with these steps, because it easy to think that which part I am going to write. This is the good way to practice and learn to write step by step. I can adjust my idea which has to write first. I know how to write an introductory part first. Then I knew how to write a body part, and a conclusion part as well. As the teacher thought this way of practice is good for all students.

ReplyDeleteI disagree with you that you need student write a tree-steps essay because it was limited my thinking. A tree-steps essay makes me pay attention to a format more than my information. I think a three paragraph essay is like a fill in the blank, it just put something that I need to write into a body. I offer that teacher needs to pay attention to language and coherence writing. Your point is to improve that student have understandable writing more than force them to write in tree-steps essay.

ReplyDeleteI think it is not good for student because student will lack of thinking connection.
If student do essay writing, they will read a whole essay for solve a problem in paper work. This work will not discontinue, and student will forget each part not. For example, introduction, and body part is separated in each other, I think it creates difficult to writ conclusion because student have to look back in each part, so it complicated to writ an essay. However, I strongly agree that writ an essay in whole essay is better than writ an essay part by part .When student see a whole their work, they can express idea to connect in each paragraph.

ReplyDeleteI think that writing an essay separately part by part Is a good way to follow, however it seems to be confusing for me to keep my work flow. Instead of writing separately part by part, I prefer writing it a complete one because I can freely imagine the ideas of what I’m going to write - which is very important. By writing it a whole at once, I can see how the essay expressing my points. Moreover, I don’t have to be very careful about the logical terms because it does weave in its way.

In my opinion, I think writing an essay in separately part by part in this semester is the good way for the students to learn how to control idea in step by step. However, when we write this kind of essay the idea does not link together and it’s kind of confusing for the student about many kinds of rules. On the contrary, I think writing an essay like the previous one that we wrote in the last semester is the best way to do because I can think of one main idea and I will also think of what to write in continuous. Furthermore, it is combining only in one part which is easy to write for the student that we don’t have to think too much in what we are doing. Therefore, it should be clear that writing an essay which is in one part that we wrote in last semester is useful more than an essay in separately part that we are doing in this semester.

ReplyDeleteWriting in the whole piece of essay is the proper way to follow my idea in the work that I am able to put my words in one time. At least, I can remember what I have written or expressed from previous paragraph. This way helps me to make a unity of thinking. However, writing in part by part is really useful for practice in step by step but it could upset me when the score of each paragraph was announced, if score was terrible I have no courage to do next one anymore. This reason is just one factor that writing separately part by part is not interesting. Finally, I claim that writing nonstop of essay is absolutely more effective than writing unconnectedly.

However, I disagree with your point because I think that write an essay separately part by part will make many students confused of thinking and can not follow idea. I’m totally disagree that to learn follow your method is a way for writing because it still made me confused of these three parts. For me, to write all of these parts in once is better. Anyway, i strongly agree with you teacher. writing essays step by step are help me a lot to arrange my ideas. especially when I'm writing my bodies of the essay. separately part by part of writing essays can make the whole things go to the same way or same direction.
