For the last issue to argue, we will still talk about writing courses, but this time we will move on to how to assess the ability and performance of the learners. Two ways I'd like you to look at and take your stand are having a conventional writing examination in the exam room and working on a writing assignment at home.
The first way of assessment is the one you're familiar with. It is going to the exam room and write for the whole 30 points or so. The idea is to see how well you can think and write within limited time. The second way is assigning the learners to work at home and turn it in on the due date.
Well, now which stand will you take? Don't forget to discuss one point only and support your stand well. The blog will be closed at 8.00 a.m. on Friday 24th, September, 2010.
I think writing examination in the exam room is a challenging way because writing with a limited time can perform an ability of that person and show how resourcefulness you are. Beside, some people are good at writing speedily and think swiftly with a limited time.

Writing is a composition of the master piece. To write a good essay in a short period of time is quite stressful, because I don’t have much time to think carefully about it. I put myself into this idea because I got an inspiration when my thought reflected my experience—the day I helped my aunt prepared Chinese buns. With the idea of preparing the Chinese buns, it is similar to the processes in writing. Firstly, taking writing assignment at home, students can find the reliable sources of information to support their topic according to their outlines, and then students can read their sources of information carefully before writing. While, preparing Chinese buns, it starts from selecting the best ingredients, and clean all ingredients before mixing the stuffing. Secondly, taking writing assignment at home, students can start their writing after they feel relaxing or after they gather the information for their writing. Thus, they start drafting and citing their works without time worrier. Whereas, the second step of preparing Chinese buns are preparing the dough and put a filling before shaping each bun. Thirdly, taking writing assignment at home, students can continue their drafting and revising after they friends edited their works; thus, they required concentrations and time in order to edit their work. At the same time, each bun is checked the shaped and it is placed in a row on a separate square in steamer trays. Then, the buns were kept in a hot dry room for the reason that the buns will rise in double size in hours. Specially, during the buns are rising its sizes, there is the important rule to follow which is does not touch the streamer trays because it badly affects the sizes of buns. Comparing to the examination room, teachers often walk and announce the time to remind the students; consequently, I lost my consideration in taking my writing exam because of the disturbing noises. Next, taking writing assignment at home, students can check their works thoughtfully before submitting to their teachers. While the buns that rose in double sizes, they are checked before steaming in the medium heat water. Finally, taking writing assignment at home, students are completed expressing their high quality productions of thoughts—writing –after submitting to their readers—teachers.
